My new mobile has an application for blogger, and so my old blog is active once more, only this time it’s my ‘On the go’ blog and I’ll be posting mini updates about what I’m up to. I’m guessing it will happen a lot in times of great boredom and not so much at other times. Anywho — I’ve put an rss-widget on the far right of this site. If you’re ever interested.
Now: I’m off to do some shopping for tonight’s ‘Knit and Drink’ at C’s house — I got my Fannie Farmer Cookbook the other day and am excited about trying out a recipe for barbecued chicken wings a là 1979. Oh and yes, there is a recipe for the infamous party food of the ’70s: The Cheese Ball, in there. Oh joy!
Lastly, Happy Birthday to the Ex who’s half way to 50 today but still only looks 24.

A week in, and already 2009 is far exceeding my expectations. I’ve had champagne and cava, celebrated my friend C’s master degree, and today it’s back to every-day life as my own master degree begins. I’m quite annoyed with uni at the moment as I’ve still not gotten the result back from my last exam and my acceptance to the MA depends on my having passed everything last semester. The deadline for the results was yesterday (three weeks after the exam) and still nothing — to be perfectly honest I’m more than annoyed, I’m fuming!
Well, no need to ramble on about it now — here are a few highlights from the past week:
The mussles we had at C’s MA celebratory dinner. Absolutely delicious! And well done, C!
The rosé cava we had innumerable glasses of, with frozen raspberries from mum’s garden. Fantastic!
Reminiscence from my childhood: bacon with potato stew and vegetables. Made with soy milk, of course, but still delicious.
And finally: beautiful January landscape. Makes even me like winter…
