…sitting in my favour­ite comfy chair at night with a lily of the valley-​scented candle on the side table, a cup of pomegranate tea and a great book in my hands and a soft, thick wool blanket wrapped around me. Makes it very hard to get to bed (which is prob­ably why I’m now dis­gust­ingly late and really should get going instead of sit­ting here writ­ing about last night), but oh, it was so lovely and every­one deserves a little lovely in their life from time to time. Sunday even­ing might just be my favour­ite even­ing too – no exhaust­ing party, no hangover, noth­ing to do but sit quietly and read by sweet-​scented candlelight.
