The Susanne

The grey envel­ops the world today. It is every­where and in everything: the air, the streets, the build­ings, myself. All col­oured grey by this mist that has settled over the lovely town of Oslo. The past few days have been so stun­ning with clear blue skies and the winter melt­ing away in streams of cold, spark­ling water. One good thing about the mist, I sup­pose, is the warm tem­per­at­ure. The snow will con­tinue to melt away – albeit more mod­estly, slowly than yes­ter­day. And in the mean time, whilst I wait for fairer weather, I com­fort myself with the rye crisp­bread I baked yes­ter­day in the sun.
